L’Or is generally quite good but I have less experience since they’re less common in the US. I like Illy Intenso for iced milk drinks and it’s okay for hot milk drinks. The Peet’s assortment from US Costco (80 pods) goes on sale for about half the price of Nespresso usually 4 times a year, sometimes for just a few days. Peet’s are okay for milk drinks but I wouldn’t buy them unless they’re much cheaper than Nespresso and would not drink them black. Based on information, I think Cafe La Llave and Organico are the best but it depends on your taste. But I do like the same company’s other capsules, which are sold near me. I haven’t tried it because it’s not sold in single packs near me and I don’t want to buy 4-8 sleeves of something without tasting it. I would not buy most of these unless they are noticeably cheaper than Nespresso capsules, which I generally find superior.Ĭafe La Llave is a fan favorite around here. Would love to hear what you think once you receive your order!Įdit: I just re-read your original post and as you already have Scuro, just disregard that bit ) Trying to be helpful but as per my usual ramblings it's probably too much information lol. (As does the Stockholm that you mentioned) I can't help much with the DE Dolce comparison but I have read that the Scuro OL capsule is pretty close to Vertuo Double Chiaro that you said you like. Kazaar has that kind of woody, slightly spicy taste that really makes it stand out for me. I think Napoli has a little less of that cereal note and the bitterness on the finish is quite strong. Miami has pretty strong cereal notes but also has a distinctive tobacco note on the finish. I basically made most of my recommendations off the idea that Il Caffe is very dark and intense.□ If it's a malty flavor you're going for, you might indeed enjoy the Arpeggio.
